move2smile

Learn, relearn or optimize your movements and go home with a smile after a move2smile lesson. This is because the movement lessons based on the NeuroMovement method allow new, desirable connections to be created in the brain. It is learning through movement.

Appointment

It all starts with a first appointment. Choose a time when your child is SATURATED and NOT TIRED. Because then he or she is ready to learn - and that's what it's all about.

TIME

Children don't work at the push of a button. Children need time to gain trust in a person and to feel comfortable in a new environment. I give this time to the child- without you having to pay for it.

Flexibility

I usually work on a Feldenkrais table (or couch). This is not possible with all children right from the start. So I am the one who has to find a position and situation to work with the child. With me, you won't have to tell your child to lie down so that I can work, because if we ask the child to take up a position in which she/he doesn't feel comfortable or safe, her/his willingness to learn will be very limited.

NeuroMovement Method

NeuroMovement is a learning method in which I use gentle but very precise movements to reach my student's brain, which controls our nervous system (neuro). I acquired this ability by spending thousands of hours on the floor like a baby, learning, feeling and experiencing how movement works. The connections and interplay between the bones, joints and muscles (and everything that goes with them) are necessary for movement to be possible, easy, varied and, of course, pain-free. I have internalized all the movements and now when I touch a student to teach him movement I feel all these connections in myself. My knowledge is not theoretical, but organic. It is particularly important that I can feel how far my student can perform a movement on their own and easily. I must not go beyond this crucial point as this is the starting point from which we explore further together and from where the student learns new movements with greater variety.

In addition to the embodiment of movement, which is essential for this work, Anat Baniel has formulated "9 Essentials", which are the basis of the Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement®:

1. movement with attention

2. slowness

3. variation

4. subtlety

5. enthusiasm

6. flexible goals

7. the learning switch

8. imagination and dreams

9. awareness

Read Anat Baniel’s 9 essentials and how to apply them in your daily life with your child.

There are still two essentials missing! Namely connection and love.

I bring love with me. Love for life. Love for people. Every practitioner has it. Otherwise they wouldn't have chosen this profession.

And the connection?

Connecting with other people, feeling the other person is a skill that can be learned. This is only possible if you have a strong and loving connection with yourself. It is the prerequisite for being sensitive and respectful in connection with others. I have established this connection to myself in the many thousands of hours I have spent on the ground with myself, my skeleton, my nervous system and my emotions.

The beauty of the method

I don't correct, repair or treat anyone. Instead, I observe and feel what my student can do and where I can start so that they can learn the next step. In this way, the student feels and learns what he can do and that he can learn even more. I NEVER say or show what they can NOT do. In this way, the student has one positive learning experience after another. This motivates him to continue learning, gives him courage, strengthens his self-confidence and satisfaction and makes him happy. (Naturally this includes HER).

That's how I came up with the name of my company:

move to smile - move2smile.

Who are my students?

In principle, this can be anyone. Since life is movement and we all move, we all have the potential to improve our movement, make it easier, move without pain and increase our movement performance.

Easier movement improves quality of life and joie de vivre.

The method is of course particularly helpful for all people whose movement is difficult and restricted, who can only move little and with difficulty. This could be children with special needs, people who have suffered an accident or stroke or people with chronic illnesses or genetic disorders.
